JUDAH KINGDOM CONNECTION OVERVIEW

            The mission and purpose of Judah Kingdom Connection is to nurture, encourage, and impart Kingdom wisdom into those called as ministers of the dance and ministry leadership, so that they may walk into their Kingdom purpose with greater grace.  JKC will be a constant source of encouragement and support to those that are called to the ministry of dance (1 Thessalonians 5:11).  According to The Uncommon Individual Foundation, “A mentor is a brain to pick, an ear to listen, and a push in the right direction, and not a reproduction of one’s self.”  Judah Kingdom Connection will teach not only the basic concepts of Praise & Worship through the ministry of Liturgical Dance, but JKC will guide those being mentored into positive life skills; biblical understanding of dance; Christ centered leadership and unity as a member of the Levitical Order.

Those that are selected for the mentorship program are not inhibited or repressed in any way from being who God has called them to be in the Kingdom.  The Judah Kingdom Connection is a denominational, racial, age, gender and ability barrier breaking mentoring program.  JKC does not discriminate against anyone applying for mentorship with this program for any reason.  Judah Kingdom Connection is in no way a substitute for the leading and guiding of the Holy Spirit.  JKC instead, strives to be a source of power the Holy Spirit can use to be a voice to a generation that is searching for answers.  Judah’s mentoring program is purposed by God to speak into the lives of those being mentored by way of personal instruction, academic instruction/course work and through conference attendance.

            The mentoring program of JKC is a year long process beginning every September 1^st and ending August 15^th the following year.  During the year the mentor and mentee both have the opportunity to learn and grow through self evaluation reports – given at the end of each quarter. Because each mentee will be paired uniquely with their mentor – the mentor is responsible for all course work during the course of the program.  Judah Kingdom Connection is not set up to be a covering for your dance ministry, nor is JKC set up to take the place of the covering of your church or pastor.  All mentors and mentees will be expected to remain in good spiritual standing with Father God and their home church during this process.  A part of being able to minister in dance – is the ability to follow directions from the Spirit of God.  After finishing the program at the end of the year and being recommended by the mentor – each mentee will take part in a graduation conference and celebration.  During the graduation the mentee is awarded a certificate of completion with the JKC seal and a personal letter signed by their mentor.
